Standard Governance

Transparency note: This page explains how the DSR standard is currently governed, who is accountable for it, and how governance is planned to evolve. DSR is an industry-led initiative; it is not mandated or regulated by any government body or industry authority.

Current Custodianship

Moverly Limited originated Digital Sale Ready and currently serves as custodian of the standard. This includes maintaining the definition of DSR, the compliance framework, and oversight of how DSR terminology is used in the market.

Moverly developed DSR as part of a broader mission to transform property transactions through standardised, trusted data. Working with industry partners, Moverly helped architect the Property Data Trust Framework that underpins DSR.

Accountability

Questions, concerns, or feedback about the DSR standard should be directed to:

standards@digitalsaleready.org

Moverly is accountable for responding to enquiries and for the responsible stewardship of the standard.

Evolving Governance

DSR is designed to be an industry standard, not a proprietary advantage. As adoption grows, governance will evolve to include broader industry representation.

The roadmap includes establishing a DSR Standards Council with representation from across the property ecosystem: estate agents, conveyancers, lenders, data providers, and infrastructure platforms. This council will oversee standard evolution, compliance assessment, and strategic direction.

Standard Evolution

The DSR standard will continue to evolve through active industry participation. Feedback from ecosystem participants is welcomed. Proposed changes will be assessed against the core objective: enabling interoperability across the property transaction ecosystem through standardised, trusted data.

Material changes to the standard will be communicated to the market with appropriate notice periods to allow for implementation.

Protecting the Standard

The integrity of DSR depends on consistent application. When organisations use DSR terminology for services that do not meet the standard, it undermines trust and reduces the value of DSR for the entire ecosystem.

Market participants are encouraged to report potential misuse of DSR terminology to standards@digitalsaleready.org. Reports will be reviewed and, where appropriate, addressed through direct engagement with the organisation concerned.
